Cast as the drummer and lead vocalist in the 1960s TV sitcom hit, The Monkees, Micky Dolenz, is a Hollywood icon.  Known as an actor, songwriter, singer, producer, and international performer, Micky Dolenz, registered another first in the music business, as lead off myRecordFantasy personality where fans auditioned to share the spotlight on Micky’s newest commercial CD — King for a Day — a tribute album to Carol King.

In association with Gigatone Entertainment, LLC, myRecordFantasy represents the ultimate thrill ride for music fans to share the stage and hang out with their favorite celebrity, all while having a front row seat – and often a seat in the band — in the making of a CD.

In its inaugural outing, nearly two dozen weekend warriors converged from all over the country to audition and work on tracks wtih Micky Dolenz.  Working daily, from dawn to dusk, attendees were wisked to and from The Track Shack Studios to various locations around Sacramento to eat, drink, dance, play, perform, and drink some more.  What a serious ride!

In addition to Micky Dolenz, several of Micky’s friends also dropped by, including fellow Monkee alum Peter Tork, Mark Lindsay from Paul Revere & The Raiders, and Jerry Corbetta of ‘Green Eyed Lady’ fame.
